    She is a hugger she loves to hug your leg and or across your chest when sleeping with you!

    They have rescued so many animals in need especially when the authorities won't help, they go in and ensure they help the animals in need.

    14-Phoebe (Feebs, Phoeberinie)

    While Phoebe can remove stuffed animal toy limbs with surgical precision, she wouldn’t dream of ever greeting you without one of her Frankenstein creations in her mouth with tail wagging in excitement.

    Animal Rescue Nomination:

    Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue (NY, OH, CT)

    Louie’s is a foster-based rescue that is based in Cincinnati, OH and Staten Island, NY. Louie was a basset hound mix with red fur and different colored eyes, and he belonged to a shelter that had a 99% kill rate when he and founder Emily met one fateful day. Louie’s Legacy has saved tens of thousands of animals while becoming one of the largest foster-based rescues in the country!

    13-Nunu

    🌈Our sweet Nunu girl crossed the rainbow bridge on 2/5/2026. She was our first dog that gave us 11 unforgettable years of endless love and affection. She will be our valentine forever, we love you Nunu 🌈.

    Animal Rescue Nomination:

    Pitties and Kitties Rescue (Albuquerque, NM)

    PKR volunteers rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters and other sources that desperately need help.  All of the dogs and cats in their program are temperament tested and evaluated on a daily basis until they find their new home.

    12-Otto❤️

    Mr. Otto is the sweetest, most loving boy ever! He absolutely loves other animals and is always looking for someone to share his love with.

    Animal Rescue Nomination:

    Pet-A-Bulls, Inc.

    Pet-A-Bulls, Inc. is New Mexico's all volunteer based “Bully” breed ADOPTION group. They carefully select dogs from City and County Animal Welfare Departments across New Mexico, ensure that all medical needs and vaccinations are in place and that they have the basic behavior training to automatically exhibit the skills required to be deemed “Ready-Made” family pets!

    11-Cosmo

    Cosmo is the sweetest and most gentle bunny his paw-rent has ever met. Cosmo loves cilantro and head pet and neck massage. Always there for a nose boop from his mom and grand mama. He never kicks or scratches his fur-mily😻.

    Pets In Need (Palo Alto, CA)

    Pets in Need helped us to adopt our rabbits. They took in Cosmo and Luna a second time, as Luna was injured with a torn claw, and got her vet treatment. Then Cosmo and Luna were in a foster home before we adopted them.

    Oliver can warm any heart through and through🤗.

    This is a no kill shelter for our community. They take in any stray animals and provide shots and good homes.

    9-Quincy

    Quincy loves love. She sends everyone kisses and cuddles for Valentines Day❤️.

    This rescue takes pregnant strays and gives a place to safely have their litter and then spays the moms.

    7-Arlo

    Arlo has truly been a blessing in his mama’s life and the best furry companion a girl can ask for!

    Jolly Tails Animal Sanctuary (Tampa, FL)

    They are committed to providing educated, experienced, and compassionate care and prioritize the long-term physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of the animals in our community. Christy, who is the founder, is an amazing human being whose love and care for dogs is unmeasurable. They have helped to find fosters and homes for so many fur babies!

    6-Luna

    She’s her mama’s snuggle baby.

    Animal Rescue Nomination:

    League for Animal Welfare (Batavia, OH)

    They are a rescue shelter that many local children assist in caring for the animals after training for volunteer hours. They also worked hard through the snow storm to get all pets fostered into homes, so they would not be stuck in the kennels. (They also have hilarious social media accounts - highly recommend.)

    5-Mr. Boo

    He’s his pawrent’s baby boy and sweetheart everyday. He’s 18 years old now and slowing down, but he fills up her heart with joy and memories of a spry and robust gentleman.

    Animal Rescue Nomination:

    Poe's Rescue Fund (Baltimore, MD)

    Gladys is a one woman Animal Savior who tirelessly advocates for feeding, giving medical attention, spay and neutering of animals in the USA and Venezuela. With an army of donors, she has saved thousands of animals’ lives. She runs her our rescue based in Maryland and makes a huge difference in animal welfare.

    🌈When their fur-mama moved from WI to NM she left the humans but brought them with her.🌈

    Watermelon Mountain Ranch is a nonprofit organization for homeless pets providing adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs including Molly's Mercy Missions. What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into New Mexico's Largest No Kill Animal Shelter, encompassing a 10 acre main campus facility, two resale stores, offsite adoption centers, and humane programs serving the community.

    3-Pumpy

    She is her mama’s lover girl!

    Save the Meow Meows Cat Lounge & Shop (Yucca Valley, CA)

    They are amazing and save cats from high kill shelters all over SoCal! Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, & rehome abandoned, neglected, & abused animals. Their cat lounge is a safe haven for cats who are waiting for their forever homes.

    Grateful Hearts Animal Rescue (Mesa, AZ)

    Grateful Hearts is an Arizona non-profit cat rescue dedicated to helping our communities population of stray, hurt or abandoned cats and kittens find their loving furever home. Since opening their doors in 2019 they have saved 2,150 kitties.
