Who we are

Jen and Joop live with Joop’s three sisters (Ceridwen, Asherah and Inanna) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With a small apartment chock full of feline family members, there isn’t space to safely foster.

When Jen lost her federal job due to the current Administration, she was no longer able to donate to rescues.

They decided to turn Jen’s favorite pastime - celebrating all things Joop and his sisters and putting their images everywhere - into a way to continue donate to rescues who work so hard to save special friends like Joop.

Joop

Born: December 5, 2020 (Sagittarius)

Gotcha Day: January 20, 2022

I met Joop in January 2022 after the very sad passing of my best friend in the whole world, Sandri. Joop was hanging out in Boofy’s Best for Pet’s Kat Kastle Suites decked out in the cutest bow-tie, meowing and trying to escape because no matter how big a space, Joops’ modus operandi is to ‘get out’. I promised to give him an apartment with a big window to watch the birds where we would just co-habitate, no strings attached. Poor guy has had to deal with me backing out on the deal by loving and hugging him to pieces and bringing home SISTERS and a few FOSTER DOGS to take his space, his toys, his food, and his piece of mind. So we all work every day to show him that he is the king-of-the-castle and the king-of-our-hearts.

    Asherah

    Born: May 2023 (Taurus)

    Gotcha Day: August 13, 2023

    This tabbico extraordinaire is the bravest girl in the world who fights against her instinct to flee and hide when she wants to help her family or protect her mom. She is a fierce hunter and loyal friend with myriad personalities and moods. I love her when she embodies my disapproving grandma and I love her when she is a widdle baby - and every character in between. There are at least 6 cats wrapped up into the 1 and only Asherah!

    Ceridwen

    Born: October 2023 (Libra)

    Gotcha Day: October 7, 2024

    Ceri (Carebear) is more regal than the late Queen Elizabeth II in demeanor and attitude, but she never forgets her roots as a feral foundling. She is forever pining for Joop’s love and affection (and toys and space) and she’s learning to trust her mama through the Pavolian power of the mighty Churu treat.

    Born: April 2024 (Aries)

    Baby Inanna Banana (Bean) teaches strength through love as she loves us all unconditionally and is always hanging with whoever is having a bad day to give comfort and friendship. Her heart and soul just want to play and play and play. If you’re lucky, you can meet her alter-ego Bean-zilla in the wee early morning hours when her stomach demands it’s breakfast.

How We Donate

For the first six (6) months of our operation, we will donate to those rescues that are the reason for the Jen and Joop Family, moving chronologically on a monthly basis. We have the four rescues that helped us become a family plus those who helped us when we rescued two doggo(s) from death row and then happily rehomed them.

The calculation of profits is based on products sold. We take the sales price minus the direct cost. The direct cost per item sold is the price to buy and ship the items to us divided by the number of items purchased. This allows us to ensure that the most possible goes to towards rescues and encourages us to continually look to improve our shop offerings in quality and cost.

Direct costs do not include the overhead expenses of starting and operating Jen&JoopProductions (hardware and software, subscription services, supplies, storage, product loss and donations, credit card processing fees, legal and professional services, etc.) or the cost of shipping to the customer in excess of what is charged to the customer. These are paid directly by us as sunk costs to this great fun endeavor.
