League for Animal Welfare

Luna is the fur-baby of fur-munity members Val & Taryn and was one of the top entries from our Valentine’s Event!

Luna was a SAAP (Stray Animal Adoption Program) rescue mountain mix puppy in Newport, Kentucky ten years ago! Her original name was Fallyn, but she was born on August 1 under a full moon with a beautiful round spot on her back so her fur-ever family called her “Luna”❤️. Luna loves her furmily, her treats, and her meals! She is so easy to train and can sit, stay, lay down, shake with both paws, spin, play dead, and balance a treat on her nose! She loves to play with her ball - no other toys - a tennis ball only🐶! She’s getting older and isn’t the biggest fan of her little sister, but she is the bestest girl and friend to her family!

Luna’s paw-rents nominated their favoritest local rescue, the League for Animal Welfare, that does so much for their community in Batavia, Ohio and the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area through amazing programs to help everyone have a furever friend! Learn more here.

They also have delightfully funny and cute and moving social media posts. We highly recommend a follow wherever you enjoy your social media. You too will become a fan!

Thank you so very much for your purchases from our Shop during April 2026 that will support this amazing organization in Luna’s name!

Our profits can never go as far as your direct support. If you are able, please consider donating directly to the League for Animal Welfare here❤️.

Catopia Cat Cafe

Buddy is the rainbow fur-baby of fur-munity member Laurie and is honored this month as a result of our Valentine’s Event!

Laurie and her son found Buddy at the Albuquerque Animal Shelter Adoption location at the local mall. They had thought they wanted a kitten, but realized when they saw them literally climbing the kitty-friendly walls that maybe they needed a calmer companion😸. So they said they were looking for a loving and cuddly short-haired cat. All this time, Buddy was hiding in the corner and would not greet or socialize with anyone! But the onsite experts let them know that once all of the visitors left every evening, Buddy was the biggest cuddle bug in the world. Laurie and her son believed the staff, thank goodness, and brought him home that very day!

Buddy was the bestest kitty with many canine personality traits😉. He would great his furmily at the door when they came home, he would play fetch and bring the toy back, and he would sleep with his mama - on top of her actually! He sat on her lap and followed her from room to room. He was her little angel but sadly passed away in April 2025 when he experienced his second stroke.

Buddy continues to bring joy to his mama when he pops up in pictures or her thoughts. We are honored to remember Buddy this month and the joy, friendship, and companionship that he brought. His mama nominated Catopia Cat Cafe in Albuquerque, NM to receive March 2026 shop profits. Catopia works so hard to unite kitties like Buddy with their fur-ever family by partnering with city and county shelters and local cat rescues to bring in adoptable kitties in a comfortable environment with drinks and treats where folks can relax and play with the kitties and find a Buddy of their very own😻.

We were able to donate $186.33 in March 2026 shop profits to Catopia Cat Cafe in honor of Buddy! Thank you so much for your continued support of our Shop that makes these donations possible!!!

June’s Senior Cat Rescue

Those who know me, know Sandri. He was and is the G.O.A.T. and the most ornery tailless Manx to walk the earth. He taught many a child the unfortunate but universal life lesson that being kind to someone does not mean they will like you in return; kindness must be it’s own reward. I loved him so. Anyone who has had their fur-baby through old age knows of the amazing attachment and special bond that develops in those last years. Honoring him with this month’s rescue makes me very happy.

When I learned of June’s Senior Cat Rescue, I immediately loved their mission, their work, and their outreach. I identify with their motto that “we like ‘em old”😸. Thirteen years ago, June’s Founder and Executive Director drove across many states to rescue her late mother June’s senior cat named Ninety-Nine. She realized the need and founded June’s to provide a safe haven for homeless senior cats to receive the love and care they deserve while living the rest of their days in comfort.

June’s has many programs not only for homeless senior kitties, but for us as a community of humans who need help to care for our special seniors. Whether it’s their “Senior Cats for Senior Laps” program, their “Help Meowt” program, or their foster and adoption programs, June’s provides infrastructure, community, and financial support to many and is always striving to do more.

We recommend their social media accounts and their newsletter. Become a part of the June’s community from near and far!

We were able to donate $77.44 in February 2026 shop profits to June’s Senior Cat Rescue in honor of Sandri and all senior fur-friends! Thank you so much for your continued support of our Shop that makes these donations possible!!!

Dog IS My CoPilot

Beautiful Skylar taught me so much before she went to her forever momma. I will never forget the lessons she carried, the trauma she worked so hard to overcome, and the love she and all shelter and rescue animals have to offer us if only they can be saved from being caught in a system beyond their control.

She was a beautiful recent mother trapped in the Houston, TX county shelter system scheduled for euthanasia. Like all of my girls, I saw her story posted by guardian angel networkers on social media. Skyler needed a miracle.

I fell in love and contacted the networker! They connected me with a shelter employee who got Skylar spayed and overnight housing while I traveled to Houston. This was the first, but not the last, time a shelter worker took personal action to save an animal from euthanasia while I traveled to pick them up. There are angels in disguise everywhere in our world.

I got coverage for the cats, flew to Houston, picked up a car, picked up Skylar and supplies and began the long over-night drive home. She was mentally traumatized, just spayed, and dealing with a lady who had a lot to learn about dogs. She was amazing.

When we made it home, we worked on professional training, getting her well and healed, and finding her forever family. We became close and parting was emotional, but it was the best decision and she found the bestest fur-ever mom.

In honor of Skylar and all animals in need of a saving miracle, Skylar’s momma suggested donating January 2006 shop profits to Dog Is My Copilot. What a perfect idea and we are honored to do so! This amazing organization flies over 1,000 animals annually from Texas, New Mexico, California, and Oklahoma, to rescue organizations all over the country! They are critical to saving animals like Skylar😻. Learn more here.

January 2026 profits donated to Dog Is My Copilot totaled $47.00. Thank you so much for your continued support of our Shop that makes these donations possible.

Paw and Whiskers NM

When we learned of Wyatt’s (fka Leo) plight at the Dallas Animal Shelter through social media networking, something compelled us to save him. Thankfully, a kind worker removed Wyatt from death row until we could get him. We flew out, rented a car, picked him up, got supplies, and drove back 14 hours overnight to Albuquerque!

When we got home, I learned how much patience, love, space, and dedicated big-doggie attention he needed that we weren’t equipped to provide.

We worked on curing his kennel cough and giardia, getting him neutered, and starting his training. When we reached out to local dog rescue experts, Paws and Whiskers NM stepped in and helped us by advocating for Wyatt. His forever mama saw their posts and contacted us. She and Wyatt met and fell in love. What an amazing happy ending that took Wyatt from his ending, to his surviving, to his THRIVING! It would not have been possible without the selfless intervention of Paws and Whiskers NM. We will be forever grateful!

Watch the story here.

Paws and Whiskers NM are a small but mighty team of cat and dog fosters in Albuquerque NM, who have fostered ninety-nine (99) rescues in the three years they have been fostering! Their love for animals has always been huge and their Instagram videos of their foster puppies and kitties are hilarious and heartwarming.

December 2025 profits donated to Paws and Whiskers NM Fundraiser for the Albuquerque Fosters Holiday Mission totaled $77.00! We could not have helped such a worthy holiday effort without your continued support of our little shop. Thank you so very much.

Lori’s Angels

Lori’s Angels is the reason for Inanna and her mom and brothers. We watched the new family struggle being born and catching colds in the Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernadino. Networkers and transporters shared and shared their story as their situation became more precarious in the overcrowded shelter and they continued to move up the euthanasia list until they reached the top.

Thankfully, Lori’s Angels and a wonderful foster stepped in at the last minute and saved “Momma Blake” and her three kittens! We were so grateful because we had already fallen in love with the little girl with the bad eye. As she and her family healed and grew with their miracle foster, I lobbied and begged to adopt her- a big ask as an unknown out-of-stater on social media! Thankfully again, Lori’s Angels accepted my adoption application. I named her “Inanna Odin” after the strong Mesopotamian goddess and the wise one-eyed god. But Inanna wasn’t one-eyed after all - her foster had fixed that right up! I flew round trip to Longbeach, CA in one day to pick up this wonderful ball of love and joy. The rest is JJP History!

Lori’s Angels rescues & rehabilitates unwanted, abused, or homeless animals and places them in their forever-homes. They are a grassroots operation in Southern California, operating in LA and Orange Counties, and sometimes Tijuana! They are committed to helping the most vulnerable animals, including strays, ferals, and abandoned or surrendered pets. Their goal is not only to save as many animals as possible, but to raise awareness about the treatment of animals (pets and strays alike) by providing guidance and resources, like TNR, to create a better world for all animals.

November 2025 profits donated to Lori’s Angels Animal Rescue totaled $98.00! We are so grateful to you for your conscientious purchasing!

SUNRISE RESCUE

Sunrise Rescue in Oceanside, CA has a big place in Jen&JoopProductions’ heart.

Jenny from Sunrise is the reason that Ceridwen (Ceri) is alive, rid of a severe tapeworm infestation, and blessing us with her emerald eyes and queenly fairy presence.

Jenny is the reason that Mouse is alive and healed from a rodent glue trap and behaving in her adorable mouse-like fashion in the JJP household.

Lastly, Jenny is the reason that Tampico, the almost JJP family member, is alive and happy. He was too wedded to his true love, the street, to move to our small indoor environs. He now roams and romps with his best friend and life mate in Jenny’s Oceanside neighborhood keeping it rodent- and hooligan-free. Before we lost our employment, we used to contribute to Tampico’s feeding when we could.

All three of these adorable God’s creatures were in line for euthanasia in the San Bernadino County Animal Care facility. Thanks to the power of social media networking, JJP’s love for unappreciated diamonds in the rough, but especially thanks to Sunrise Rescue’s limitless compassion, care, skill, and hard work for feline fighters (plus Jenny’s faith in this out-of-state unknown wannabe adopter), these three are living their best lives and teaching us a thing or two about life while they are at it.

They would not be with us and we would not be a family without Sunrise Rescue.

October 2025 profits donated to Sunrise Rescue totaled $68.64! Thank you so much for making this possible!

Albuquerque Foster Kitten Coalition

An amazingly adorable kitten named “Kitkat” looked at me through Instagram one August weekend in 2023 but I was worried about bringing someone home to Joop and also about the sharing of sniffles as Joop has allergies and Kitkat was so tiny.

But a few weeks later, Kitkat showed up on my feed again. And I had to meet her. She was so tiny and she was the last of her surviving litter to be adopted. She came home with me that night. ❤️

She was amazing and so brave and strong against big Joop (here is a good video) and bigger me. She has the strength of the goddess Asherah with her Kangaroo kicks (shown here).

We are so grateful to the Albuquerque Foster Kitten Coalition who worked to save Kitkat and so many others. Founded in 2023, they have over 20 years of combined experience with fostering, TNR, ringworm isolation, FIP coordination, and spay and neuter clinics. Albuquerque Foster Kitten Coalition currently works with shelters and rescues in the greater Albuquerque and Sante Fe regions.

September 2025 profits donated to ABQ Foster Kitten Coalition totaled $40.

F.A.T Katz ABQ

F.A.T. Katz together with Boofy's Best for Pets, is the reason for Joop. Joop makes me laugh and laugh, which was very much needed when Sandri died and I met Joop in January 2022. He's a hoot! We thought it only right to start our new business venture purpose with donating the profits of August sales to F.A.T. Katz.

Boofy's staff rescued Joop from their parking lot, called him Black Jack, and made his home in their Kastle Suites. He was their first occupant ever!

He had his own suite because he's a lone ranger. It's true - ask every one of his four (4) sisters who I have foisted upon the poor guy (plus two (2) rescued and rehomed doggos)!

August 2025 profits donated to F.A.T. Katz ABQ totaled $66.54, which included a $20 direct cash donation received from a local subscriber.

This is our little business baseline we will work to exceed every month.

In addition, F.A.T. Katz invites us to sell at their adoption events in support of their rescue. As a result, we have raised almost $300 for F.A.T. Katz to date!
